bio

Gail Konop Baker is the critically-acclaimed author of Cancer is a Bitch (Or, I’d Rather be Having a Mid-life Crisis), professional speaker, talk show co-host of The G-spot, Huffington Post blogger, adjunct writing professor, freelance essayist, poet, runner, yogi, and mother of three. She is currently working on two books, one tentatively titled The Inner Vixen and the Lazy-boy Man about the new balance of power in and out bedrooms across America, the other a juicy, suspenseful novel.

Her past lives included teaching English in a New York City public high school and at a Yeshiva for Russian immigrants in Brooklyn, selling and copywriting advertising for an NBC affiliate in Vermont, covering the local beat for a small-town newspaper in New Hampshire, managing a big and tall men’s clothing store in Toledo, waitressing and bartending in various and sundry cities and towns across the eastern and western and Midwestern sea and land board and performing stand-up comedy at a club in Chelsea (once and only her best friend laughed).

She currently lives in Madison, Wisconsin where she runs and practices yoga and writes and mothers and thinks and over-thinks and talks and plots daily.
